What data we collect
We only collect the data necessary to provide the services requested through this site:
- Contact details (name, email, phone) when you fill in the contact form, the visit request form, or the newsletter sign-up
- Shipping and billing details (name, address, country) when you place an order
- Payment data — handled entirely by Stripe, our payment processor: we never store your card number on our systems
- Anonymous, aggregated browsing statistics (pages visited, traffic source) via Plausible Analytics
How we use your data
We use the data collected exclusively to:
- Fulfil orders and keep you updated on shipping status
- Reply to requests submitted via the contact, newsletter or visit-booking forms
- Send transactional emails (order confirmation, sign-up confirmation, appointment confirmation)
- Understand, in aggregate and anonymous form, how the site is used, in order to improve it
Third-party providers processing data on our behalf
To operate the site we rely on the following providers, each bound by its own data-processing terms:
- Vercel (site hosting)
- Supabase (orders and visit-request database, EU region — Frankfurt)
- Stripe (payment processing)
- Brevo (transactional email delivery and newsletter management)
- Plausible Analytics (anonymous, aggregated traffic statistics, cookie-free)
- Cloudflare (video content delivery, Turnstile anti-spam protection)
Legal basis and retention
We process your data on the basis of contract performance (for orders), consent (for the newsletter), or legitimate interest (for replying to contact requests). Order-related data is retained for the period required by Swiss tax and commercial obligations; you may request deletion of data no longer needed at any time.
Your rights
Under the Swiss Federal Act on Data Protection (FADP) you have the right to access, correct, delete and object to the processing of your personal data. To exercise these rights, write to info@lighthousetech.ch.
International data transfers
Some of the providers listed above process data outside Switzerland (EU/US). In these cases we make sure the transfer takes place to countries with an adequate level of data protection or under standard contractual clauses.
